Friendly local which had a comprehensive refurbishment in 2022 with a reversion to its old name (minus the word 'Tavern') and run by the True Pub Co.

Floorboards throughout with some of the walls back to bare brickwork. Like other pubs in the chain books and other artifacts can be found throughout and Breweryana on the walls (reclaimed from old pubs, churches, and courtrooms).

The kitchen serves a traditional British menu with roasts on Sundays (beef,lamb,pork,chicken). It is franchised so the hours may not always be correct.

Cask beer has been intermittent over the years and was confirmed in Oct 2025 that it is no longer sold although there are two handpumps, one with a turned round pumpclip.
