It seems Young's have decided this venue did not work for them - a shame. From their website, "After a careful review of our plans for the Naturalist, we have decided to close the business from Sunday 1st Feb 2026.

We would like to thank the local community for all their support over the last 7 years. We will be in contact directly with any customers who have future bookings with the pub."

Lease has been on the market for some time.

05/11/25 - the pub has confirmed they no longer offer cask beer - the question asked was "could you please confirm or otherwise that you no longer offer Young's Cask Beer as we had you down as serving Young's Original." and the reply - "Yeah, correct we don't unfortunately have it anymore". This came from a beer score report, "Don't do cask anymore, 3 unused pumps."

Opened August 2018 in a new development close to the banks of the Woodberry Down reservoir.
