Twyford to Wokingham


Join Albina on her birthday walk which will take us to Wokingham. The walk will not always be scenic, and will involve a few roads, but we will visit 3 breweries and a few pubs. Overall distance is approximately 10 miles with quite a few stops.


Approximate timing:

12:00 : Meet at Twyford station (on the Elizabeth Line)

12:15 – 12:45 : Dolphin brewery, Unit 3 Twyford Business Units, Gas Lane, Twyford, Berkshire. RG10 9TU (no tap room as such, but great bottled sours)

Walk 1 hour

13:45 – 14:30 : Castle Inn, Church Hill, Hurst, RG10 0SJ

14:45 – 15:30 : Jolly Farmer, Davis Street, Hurst, RG10 0TH

15:45 – 16:30 : Wheelwrights Arms, Davis Way, St Nicholas Hurst, RG10 0TR

Walk 1.5 hours

18:00 – 19:00 : Bearwood Brewing Taproom, Unit 11, Anglo Industrial Park, Fishponds Road, Wokingham, RG41 2AN

After that we'll visit Outhouse Brewery Beer Bar, Unit 4 Southgate House, Alexandra Court, Wokingham, RG40 2SL - and then as many pubs in Wokingham as we can fit in!

We will return back to London from Wokingham.

Twyford is on Elizabeth line to Reading - please check times from your station. I would suggest buying a return to Reading. The cost of a return ticket is £15.15 with a card (£11.30 from West Drayton/boundary zone 6). You will also need a £2.85 single from Wokingham to Reading for the return journey. You can buy a single to Twyford and a single from Wokingham, but that’s more expensive.
