Ye Olde Swiss Cottage Pub closed for good on 1st February and was sold by the Brewery Sam Smith. We don’t know the details of the new owner yet, but there are concerns that the pub could be converted to other uses, or demolished (planning permission will be needed).

We need short, but eloquent testimonies that show:

• The pub’s importance to the local community.
• The pub’s importance to the personal wellbeing of the patrons of the pub.
• How the pub has furthered social interests (e.g. groups who met at the Swiss).
• To meet the criteria set for ACV: it should be personal and specific to personal and community wellbeing - rather than accurate, but generic statements about the number of pubs being lost.
